At River Family Dentistry, we help out our patients struggling with dental anxiety. If you are skipping a dental visit or extending a treatment schedule due to dental fear, you don't have to do it anymore. When you visit us, we will ensure you stay comfortable and relaxed throughout the dental procedure. We will make you feel at ease by discussing any questions you have about dentistry in general.
We offer both take-home and in-office teeth whitening, depending on your dental needs. With the help of a take-home kit, you can get your teeth whitened in the comfort of your home; on the other hand, with in-office teeth whitening, you can have white teeth from the hands of a professional safely and effectively.
We do accept patients without insurance. You don't have to worry about the financial options, as we offer flexible payment plans. If you wish to know all about them, feel free to call our office for more details.
You can prevent bad breath by following the steps below
- Practice good oral hygiene at home
- Brush your teeth at least twice a day using a fluoride toothpaste
- Flossing daily
- Use an antiseptic mouthwash at least once a day
- Visit your dentist regularly
- Give up habits like smoking/chewing tobacco

Going to a dentist only when you face a dental emergency, or other dental concerns may not be a good idea. Booking a semi-annual checkup and annual dental checkup is essential for your dental health. Preventive dental treatment can help save money and time.
Flossing can help reduce the growth of bacteria in your mouth, which can cause decay or bad breath. Even after brushing your teeth, still, there might be plaque stuck between your teeth which may over time harden to form tartar that can only be removed with the help of professional instruments.
Follow these tips to prevent cavities:

- Do not brush too hard or use a hard-bristled toothbrush.
- Floss at least once a day
- Watch your sugar intake.
- Rinse your mouth with water after every meal.
- Chew sugarless gum after a meal.
- Go for regular dental visits.
Make brushing time a fun time! Children love to mimic what their parents do. If you brush your teeth with enthusiasm, then your child will too. When you visit us, we can show you a demo of some creative ways to get children to brush their teeth.
Make sure to get your child the habit of brushing teeth at an early age. i.e., as soon as their first tooth erupts.
We love seeing children of all ages. Dr. Agarwal and our very friendly staff enjoy working and caring for the dental needs of children. In exceptional cases, we would refer you to take your child to a pediatric dentist if needed.
You should visit your dentist at least twice a year. During these dental visits, our dental hygienist will conduct a thorough dental examination and perform a dental cleaning to prevent any dental problems in the future. This preventive dental care measure is essential for your oral health in the long run.
We offer braces and also other orthodontic options like Invisalign/clear aligner therapy. When you visit our office, we can give you an idea of how long both the treatments would take to give the desired results, total cost, pros, and cons of each treatment. You can then decide which dental procedure you need to go for!
In case of a dental emergency, we are always here for you. When you require any urgent dental care, call us immediately so that we can guide you on the first-aid steps you can take until you reach our office. Also, feel free to walk in anytime during dental emergencies.

According to ADA, even though oral piercings are widely accepted, they still might cause potential problems like pain, chipped teeth, swelling, loss of taste, drooling, in severe cases, even tooth loss. Tongue piercing has the chance of causing excessive bleeding. We recommend you talk to your dentist first if you wish to have a piercing in or around your mouth.
